We are so happy to have a new faculty member Zhonghan Hu!
Prof. Zhonghan Hu began his studies as an undergraduate student at University of Science and Technology of China, and his professional career followed with graduate work at The University of Iowa (supervisor Clardio J Margulis), post-doc research at University of Maryland (with John D Weeks) and Columbia University (with Bruce Berne). Since August 2010, he came back to China and became a professor at Institute of Theoretical Chemistry, State Kay Laboratory of Supramolecular Structure and Materials, Jilin University. He won “excellent young scientist fundation of NSFC” in 2015.
Prof. Hu’s research interests includes Statistical Mechanics and Molecular Dynamics. In detail: 1. develop molecular simulation methods for condensed state system. 2. develop analytic liquid theory with mean force field method.

胡中汉教授2003年本科毕业于中国科学技术大学。2007年于美国爱荷华大学（Univ. Iowa）获得博士学位（导师Claudio J Margulis）。随后在马里兰大学（合作导师John D Weeks）和哥伦比亚大学（合作导师Bruce Berne）从事博士后研究。2010年8月回国于吉林大学理论化学所、超分子结构与材料国家重点实验室任教授、博士生导师。2015年获得国家自然科学基金优秀青年科学基金资助。
胡中汉教授主要研究兴趣：统计力学与分子模拟。具体包括: 1.发展凝聚态体系分子模拟计算方法。 2. 从平均场思想出发，发展解析的液体理论。
