We are so happy to have two new faculty members Jilai Li and Haibo Ma!
Prof. Jilai Li began his studies as an undergraduate student at Qufu Nomal University, and his professional career followed with gratuate work at the Jilin University, post-doc research at Shandong University, Lund University. Since 2009, he is a Associate Professor in Jilin University and become a professor in 2016.
Prof. Li's research interests includes: 1. bond activation, reactivity, reaction mechanism. 2. gas-phase mass spectrometry. 3. quantum chemistry, DFT method benchmartk. 4. combination of computational and experimental approaches.
李吉来教授2002年本科毕业于曲阜师范大学，2007年于吉林大学获得博士学位。他在2007-2009和2011-2013年期间分别在山东大学和隆德大学从事博后研究。李吉来老师于2009年被吉林大学聘为副教授，2016年被聘为教授。他的主要研究兴趣是：1. 化学健的活化，反应度，反应机理； 2. 气相质谱；3. 量子化学，不同密度泛函理论方法的对比； 4. 理论和实验方法的结合。
Prof. Haibo Ma received a B.S. and a Ph.D. from Nanjing University under the supervision of Prof. Yuansheng Jiang in 2002 and 2007 respectively, and did his post-doctoral researches at RWTH Aachen University (Germany) under the supervision of Prof. Ulrich Schollwöck between 2007 and 2009. After that, he became an associate professor at Nanjing University since 2010 and was promoted to a full professor in 2017. Since November 2022, he joined in Qingdao Institute for Theoretical and Computational Sciences (QiTCS) of Shandong University.
Prof Ma's main research interests focus on the development of new quantum chemical methods for strongly correlated systems and theoretical investigation of excited state processes in optoelectronic materials. He was awarded the Humboldt research Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt foundation (2007-2009) and Tang Au-Qing youth award on theoretical chemistry from Chinese Chemical Society (2018). 马海波教授分别于2002和2007年在南京大学获得学士和博士学位（指导导师 江元生院士），于2007-2009年间在德国亚琛工业大学（导师 Ulrich Schollwöck）从事博后研究。之后他于2010年回国被南京大学聘为助理教授，2017被聘为教授。他于2022年12月加入山东大学青岛理论与计算科学研究院。 马海波教授2007获得洪堡学者基金（2007-2009）支持，于2018年获得中国化学会唐敖庆理论化学青年奖。
